How to find a niche in business?
Startup today has ceased to be just a buzzword and what is very good, it gains firm grounds in the lexicon of the younger generation. More and more people are thinking about starting their own business. I would like to contribute to the development of this trend using all my experience. I will try to give a few tips for the first-time startupers on how to find good ideas, where to get money to launch a business and what lays ahead of people today, having taken the path of entrepreneurship.
Ideas
A truly good idea in any business area is always associated with an initial problem. People find it difficult to migrate and communicate, there is low-quality food and service around, etc. First of all, find a problem and come up with solutions. The ideas that can make this world a better place and people happier will always be in demand on the market. The life itself often gives us opportunities, we only need to observe carefully.
Money
Besides well-known sources such as banks, government grants, investors, there are many interesting trends of earning for business-projects. There is, for example, the American trend of “collective financing” or crowdfunding. Definitely, this will be one of the main trends in 2013-2014, and a constant item on the business plans of each startup. The principle is simple. The company says sponsor or customer: «We can promise you only one thing – our customers and friends will know that you helped us to survive!» If your idea is really necessary for people and was created not only for the money, then for many people to become a missionary of it is sufficient. It is necessary to consider that the startup work schemes used with investors or shareholders are often very cumbersome, and most importantly – very slow, and this fact is sometimes disastrous for small enterprises.
People
Colleagues, please remember that youth is the perfect time to create startups. This is the ideal time for trials and errors, because you have not yet burdened with a family and you have a chance to take risks. Then in the future it will be more difficult to implement risky ideas. Now is the time when you can implement the most daring dreams and in no case to give in to difficulties and setbacks. Many good ideas turned to an excellent business, having been born on a course of implementation of the first startup and were just additional solutions for smaller problems. Only following the path of trials and errors we acquire the most valuable knowledge in our lives. Go ahead, my friends!
