Young businessmen, your main “property” should be moral qualities
I am convinced that business is a playground for people who are over the age of maturity, and this implies that their moral qualities have already been formed. Starting to be engaged in management, a person should realize the full responsibility for his own decisions, maintain self-sufficiency and not change the chosen values for the sake of momentary benefit.
A recent story that affected my interests gave cause for these reflections. One small Kazakhstan company used in its advertising leaflet my photo without permission, in this way it wanted to solve its marketing tasks.
Having learned it by chance, I called them and demanded an explanation. The issue was settled quickly, and they submitted their apologies to me. After weighing it all, I decided not to file a suit on my opponents. Moreover, I saw that we have gained an understanding on this issue. It isn’t worth saying, that in business such incidents may cause the guilty party end up with a failure, and through litigation can lead to significant financial losses.
I would like to encourage the businessmen, especially the younger generation, to observe ethical rules. It is important to find your inner wealth of personality and eliminate blind greediness. Otherwise, it’s not possible to gain great victories. Rely on yourself, on your talent and work hard. And you will see that over time you will be generously repaid for your hard work.
Also it should be noted that the generation of honest businessmen is a necessary condition for full development of a state and for formation of a healthy society. We are talking about something that is more important than confining yourself to your “own business”. You have to care also about things happening in the world and in the country. Professional Manager must have a clear vision of how different managerial decisions affect the overall picture. Today the business is especially integrated deeply into social processes and it should not be taken as a separate phenomenon. This matter should be re-thought by a large number of modern businessmen as possible.
