Forum will be performed at Intercontinental Almaty Hotel, Grand Ballroom.
Kazakh-Singapore business forum organized by the Singapore Business Federation , together with the AlmatyChamber of Commerce and Industry and Arman Holding. This event is the second one, inaugural forum was held in Singapore in 2009.
Business ties between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Singapore is expected to receive a boost with the arrival of a Singapore business delegation in Almaty on 26 March 2014. The business delegation is led by SBF, the apex business chamber in Singapore representing 21,000 Singapore companies, to explore business and investment opportunities in the Kazakh market. The 10-member strong business delegation comprises of business leaders and senior representatives from diverse industries including welding and construction machinery & equipment, commodities trading & trade financing, ICT, paper and stationery, business & financial services. During three-day visit to Almaty, the delegation will also be meeting with government agencies and business counterparts.
Kazakh-Singapore business-forum program includes presentations of business opportunities in Singapore as well as successful international business stories of Kazakhstan. At the plenary session, Mr Serikbai Bisekeev, President of Arman Holding, will also be sharing his experience and the success story of his enterprise in Singapore. Individual business meetings between Singaporean and Kazakh entrepreneurs are planned in the afternoon part of the event. The business forum serves to provide an effective platform for the Kazakh business community to understand more about Singapore’s economic climate and potential as well as present an opportunity for companies from both countries to discuss partnerships and collaborations. Planned Business Forum and Business Matching Session in Almaty pointed to increase trade and investment relationships between Singapore and Kazakhstan business.
Kazakh-Singapore Business Forum is an effective platform for the interaction of the business community in Kazakhstan and Singapore, it helps to know more about the economic climate and the potential of Singapore as well as an opportunity for companies from both countries to discuss the partnership and cooperation. Activities under the Singapore - Kazakh business forum aimed at increasing trade and investment relations between Singapore and Kazakhstan , total bilateral trade value between Singapore and Kazakhstan in 2013 was worth $119 million Singapore Dollars.
Singapore Business Federation has been proactively assisting Singapore companies to venture overseas to seek opportunities in the Central Asian markets. This is the second mission that SBF has led to Kazakhstan. More business-to-business exchanges are expected to be organised to drive further collaboration between business communities in Singapore and Central Asia.
